The Much-more-Part

Dit kwam vorige week met de postbode mee: een oude Libelle uit 1953 en een oud kinderboekje, zomaar gekregen van Hannie! Lief hè!

This brought the mailman last week: an old Libelle ( Dutch women's magazine) from 1953 and this vintage children's book, I got it from Hannie, just like that! Sweet hûh!

Poeh, ik ben blij dat deze tailles niet meer in de mode zijn! Maar wel geweldig om te zien!
Poeh, I'm glad these waists aren't fashionable anymore! But great to look at!

Dit fantastische blik gebruik ik nu om alle theezakjes in te gooien. Misschien niet helemaal praktisch, maar wel leuk en makkelijk!

This gorgeous tin I use to throw all the tea bags in. Maybe not so practical, but very nice and easy!

En de "Much-More-Post" gaat maar door! Ik kreeg namelijk ook nog deze prachtige award van Kind an Huys! Anne, ontzettend bedankt! Ik heb 2 posten terug al allerlei (eigen)aardigheidjes over mezelf verteld en ik geloof niet dat ik er nog meer weet te bedenken (m'n mannetje vast wel, maar aan hem vraag ik het maar niet, hahaha!).

A new table

Dit is een klein verhaaltje over een nieuwe tafel en 2 nieuwe soepkommetjes

Ik hou van het kleine tafereeltje op m'n "nieuwe" tafeltje naast m'n weg-kruip-stoel en geniet van het prille groen in m'n "nieuwe" soepkommetjes

Net zoals ik van deze voorbodes van de lente in deze sauskom hou en geniet

Het meeste van mijn schatten komt gewoon van de kringloop of kofferbakmarkten, maar ook ben ik een fervent bezoeker van brocante winkeltjes en fairs. En altijd zit er wel iets voor me tussen (en natuurlijk moet het prijsje me aanstaan!). Verslaafd? Tja, ik denk het wel!

Most of my treasures I just purchased at the thriftstore or carboothsales, but I'm also a passionate visitor of brocante shops and fairs. And most of the time I find something I like (and for the price I like!). Addicted? Well, probably!

En met dit gelukkige einde wil ik jullie allemaal een heerlijke week toewensen! Mijn mannetje is weer terug uit Canada, waar hij afgelopen week moest zijn voor z'n werk, dus het leven is hier weer terug naar normaal!

Oh en ik wil jullie nog even wijzen op dit ontzettend leuke blog van Michelle, zij schreef zo'n lief en enthousiast stukje over m'n blog, dat ik er helemaal van begon te blozen! Bedankt Michelle, en natuurlijk heel fijn om te lezen! Toen ik dit blogje begon, had ik nooit kunnen bedenken dat er a- zoveel mensen het zouden lezen en b- er ook nog eens inspiratie uit zouden halen. Dikke kus voor jullie allemaal *smak*!

And with this happy ending I wanna wish you all a wonderful new week! My hubby is back from Canada, where he stayed for a week to do some research for his work, so our life is back to normal!

Oh and I wanna point you out to the lovely blog of Michelle, she wrote such a sweet and enthousiastic post about my blog, I even had to blush a little! Thanks Michelle and of course I loved reading it! When I started this little blog of my own, I had never excpected that a- so many people would read it and b- that there would be someone who got inspiration from it! Big kiss for all of you *smak*!

Some color to brighten up your white winterdays

Ik kreeg wat verontruste berichtjes vorige keer, omdat jullie bang waren dat ik m'n passie voor kleur verloren zou hebben. Ha meiden, jullie kennen me toch ondertussen?!? Ik zal jullie eens wat kleur laten zien, dûh!

I got some worrisome messages last time, because you thought I'd lost my passion for color. Ha, girls, don't you still know me?!? I'll show you some color, dûh!

Wat denken jullie van deze geweldige, fantastische turquoise stoel? Kleurig hè! Ik vond 'em vorige week bij de kringloop voor slechts 5 euro! Hij zal fantastisch staan in m'n toekomstige ateliertje!

What do you think of this wonderful, gorgeous turquois chair? Colorful hey! I found it last week at the thriftshop for just 5 euro! It'll be great for my future studio!

Voor mijn wat...???Yep, jullie lezen het goed, voor mijn toekomstige atelier! Woehaa!!!! We hebben het plan opgevat om dit jaar een tuinhuis te plaatsen in onze achtertuin. Ik kan niet wachten zoals jullie je wel kunnen voorstellen! Ik heb in de loop der jaren al heel wat spulletjes verzameld die een mooi plekje kunnen krijgen in mijn toekomstige paradijsje! Ik denk dat dit kleine manneke me wel gezelschap wil houden tijdens m'n knutseluurtjes!

For my what...??? Yep, you read it well, my future studio! Woehaa!!!! We've planned to place a garden house this year in our back yard. I can't wait as you can imagine! I've collected lots and lots of stuff over the years and I hope to give it a proper place in my heaven-to-be! I think this little fellow will keep me compagny during my crafty times!

Ik vond ook nog dit kleine retro potje. Hmmm eerst dacht ik het aan m'n dochtertje te geven om top chef mee te spelen, maar ik denk dat ik van gedachten ben veranderd. Ik vind het zelf te leuk! Handig om wat spulletjes in op te bergen en het zal zo leuk staan in m'n toekomstige paradijsje!

I found this cute little vintage pot too. Hmmm first I thought to give it to my little girl to play top chef with, but I think I've changed my mind. I like it too much myself! Handy to put some goodies in and it will look so cute in my heaven-to-be!

Deze week kreeg ik deze boeken binnen (dank je Ilona!) boordevol inspiratie voor deze vrouw die zóóó wanhopig graag wil creëeren!

This week these books arrived (thank you Ilona!) with lots of inspiration for this woman who wants to creat sóóó badly!

En ik vertelde jullie over m'n rose lente-huis. Goed, dit is dus de aanstichter van mijn verlangen naar rose en lente en lieve kleurtjes en kleine konijntjes en grappige kippetjes!

And I told you about my pink spring-house. Okay this is the founder of my desire for pink and spring and sweet colors and little rabbits and funny chickens!

Don't worry!

Ik geloof dat ik wel wat mensen de schrik heb aan gejaagd, met m'n wit! Maar wees maar gerust hoor, dat ondeugende gekleurde kantje van me laat nog genoeg van zich horen! In de keuken blijf ik trouw aan m'n dierbare rode met witte spulletjes. Ook kreeg ik de vraag wat ik dan met al m'n spulletjes deed die ik overhield, maar het grappige is dat ik eigenlijk niet eens zoveel rood in de woonkamer had. De hele basis was al wit, en kleur breng ik er voornamelijk in met kussens en wat kleine accessoires. Daarom kan ik vrij eenvoudig switchen. En de kussenhoesjes gaan in de kast voor als ik daar weer zin in heb! En dat zal vast nog voor de kerst zijn, want dan is het echt weer "mijn" kleur!
I believe I've frightened a lot of you with all my white! But don't worry, that naughty little colorful-half of me will show up of and on. In my kitchen I'll be faithful to my red and whites. People also asked me what I did with all the stuff I took out of the room. But to be honest, that was not so much! White is the base of my room, actually I didn't had that much red. Just a few cushions and some little red accessories. I've put them in my cabinet so I can take them out if I want to. I think before Christmas the reds will be in again, it's definitely my color for that time of the year. The white base makes it easy to switch.

Ideaal om mee te stylen: het dienblad! Daarmee wissel ik regelmatig van accessoires en het geeft gelijk een heel ander sfeertje. En natuurlijk een bos verse bloemen. Dit keer de nonchalante, bijna op onkruid lijkende Ammi visnaga, oftewel kantbloem. En hij ruikt ook nog eens lekker!
Perfect to decorate with: the serving tray! I often change accessories so every time it looks different. And of course a bunch of fresh flowers. This time the nonchalant, weed-looking Ammi visnaga or lace-flower as we call them in Dutch. And they smell lovely too!

En groen! Deze pannen vond ik van de week bij de kringloop. Ik struikelde er bijna over, ze stonden buiten bij de ingang. En dat zijn dan van die "yes!!!"-momenten! Natuurlijk wilde ik niet te gretig lijken en vroeg zo terloops wat ze kostten. Ach, doe maar 2 euro voor het stelletje. En weer een "yes!!!"-moment! Maar dat was nog niet alles!
And green! These pans I found this week at the thrifstore. I almost stumbled over them, they stood at the entrance. And this was a huge "yes!!!"-moment! Of course I didn't want to look too keen and I asked sideways the price. Well, 2 euros for both of them, the man said. And again a "yes!!!"-moment! But this wasn't all!

Dit oude trapje stond wat verlegen tussen wat andere spullen in. En weer zette ik m'n onverschillige gezicht op (terwijl m'n hoofd opnieuw een "yes!!!"-moment beleefde) toen ik naar de prijs informeerde. Oh, doe ook maar 2 euro. En dang, voor de 4e keer binnen 5 minuten "yes!!!". Poeh, wat een uitputtingslag voor iemand die eigenlijk z'n enthousiasme nooit onder controle kan houden. In de auto zong ik vrolijk met de radio mee...... Mijn dag was weer goed!
This old ladder was standing shy-ish between some other stuff. And again I put on my dry-eyed face (while my head was experiencing another "yes!!!"-moment) as I informed the price. Oh, also 2 euros. And dang, for the 4th time within 5 minutes "yes!!!". Oh my what a smack of exhaustion for a girl who can never hide her enthusiasm! In the car I was happily singing along with the radio...... This made my day!

Tuurlijk moet ie nog even leuk gestyled worden, maar ik wilde 'em jullie niet onthouden!

Of course I've to decorate it in style yet, but I didn't want you to deny this!

Voor nu wil ik jullie allemaal een hele fijne vakantie toewensen, ik probeer de komende 2 à 3 weken computerloos door te komen. De kinderen zijn 2 weken bij opa en oma geweest, dus jullie begrijpen dat ik niet kan wachten om ze weer onder m'n vleugels te hebben! De komende weken zullen helemaal in het teken van de kids staan, gewoon wat leuke dingen doen. Hopelijk kunnen ze lekker veel zwemmen, ijsjes eten, misschien een bioscoopje pikken, nou ja, gewoon lekker relaxen!

Ik zal jullie missen!

For now I wanna wish you a lovely summervacation, I'll try to be computer-less the upcoming 2 or 3 weeks. The kids have been with my parents the last 2 weeks, so you'll understand I can't wait to take them under my wings again! The upcoming weeks will be totally in token of the kids, just doing some fun stuff. Hopefully the weather will be nice so they can swim a lot, eat icecreams, maybe go to the cinema, well, just relax!

I'll miss you girls!
