December Daily: Day 22 - Christmas Crafts So Far

Eens kijken wat er van al m'n plannetjes terecht is gekomen, hmmm... niet al te veel ben ik bang!

Let me see how all my little plans ended up, hmmm... not so good I'm afraid!

Vandaag heb ik eerst maar eens m'n Vriendschapsmuisjes afgemaakt

Today I finished my Friendship Mouses first

Moeder Muis was al af, maar voor Broertje Muis heb ik een sjaaltje gebreid (dat kantje om z'n nek stond toch niet zo stoer) en hij heeft een nieuwe, grotere muts gekregen

Mother Mouse was already finished, but for Little Brother Mouse I knitted a scarf ( the little piece of lace didn't look so tough on his neck) and he got a new, bigger, hat

Daarna maakt ik een heel eenvoudige kerstslinger, klaar met een uurtje, dat zijn nou mijn soort van projekten!

After that I made a very, very simple Christmas garland, ready within an hour, that are my kind of projekts!

Maar hij is toch best wel leuk geworden, vinden jullie niet?

Ik gebruikte kraft cardstock als basis

I used kraft cardstock as a base

Verder het prachtige 3ndypapir en rood en wit cardstock

Further on the beautiful 3ndypapir and red and white cardstock

De vlaggetjes maakte ik hiermee, met de grootste 2 maten, en mijn geliefde Big Shot

The flags I made with these, with the biggest 2 sizes, and my beloved Big Shot

Voor de cirkels gebruikte ik een iets andere stans, maar deze is een prima vervanger (alles verkrijgbaar bij Your Zoap), de letters maakte ik met de Slice

For the circels I used another die, but this one will do (everything available at Your Zoap), the characters I made with the Slice

Helaas heb ik het niet gered om dit engeltje af te borduren, nou ja, dan maar in de vakantie (of volgend jaar kerst)! Tja, van veel van m'n plannetjes is niets terecht gekomen, maar er zijn wel weer andere voor in de plaats gekomen. En zo gaat het nou altijd! Ach, plannen maken op zich is toch al leuk! Nu nog 2 dagen druk aan het werk in de bloemenwinkel en dan is het kerst! En.... dan is de 25 dagen tot kerst, de December Daily, afgelopen, jeetje, wat zal dat vreemd zijn! In ieder geval tot morgen! Nog 1 kamer te gaan!

It's a pity I didn't manage it to finish this angel, well, I'll do it during the holidays (or next year's Christmas)! Hmmm... a lot of my plans didn't end up well, but they made room for others. This is how it always goes! Oh well, making plans is fun on itself! For now I've to work 2 busy days in the flowershop and than it will be Christmas! And... that means the end of the 25 days of Christmas, the December Daily, oh boy that will be strange! Till tomorrow, at any rate! Just 1 room to go!

December Daily: Day 10 - Handmade By Me

Meiden, ik vind nu al dat ik mezelf heb overtroffen met het uitvoeren van m'n doe-het-zelf-plannetjes! Ik dacht dat als ik 1 ding van m'n lijstje zou maken, ik al blij mocht zijn, maar kijk en huiver:

Girls, I think I already exceeded myself with the accomplishing of my to-do-list! I thought I would be happy if I even finished one thing, but look and shiver (is this a good english saying?):

Mijn eerste projektje was het beplakken van de oude bakvormpjes

My first projekt was decorating the old backing molds

Zo eenvoudig, maar toch heel lief

So simple, but also sweet

Alles wat je nodig hebt is een bakvormpje, lief plaatje van internet, een fijn kantje, een stukje parelketting en iets om 'em aan op te hangen, oh en goede lijm natuurlijk!

All you need is a backing mold, a cute picture from the internet, a delicate piece of lace, a piece of pearl chain and something to hang it up, oh and good glue of course!

Maar dit is nog niet alles, ik heb ook nog de X MAS beplakt!

But this is not all, I also sticked on the X MAS!

Het is moeilijk te zien op de foto, maar hiervoor heb ik het mooie papier gebruikt van Pion Design en 3ndypapir, in prachtige oude bruine tinten

It's hard to see on the picture, but I used the gorgeous paperlines from Pion Design and 3ndypapir, in beautiful old brown colors

Nu hoef ik alleen dit kastje nog even leuk aan te kleden en dan is ook dit projekt klaar!

Now I only have to decorate this cabinet nicely and than this project is finished too!

En als laatste heb ik deze kerstklokjes geschilderd, de binnenkant beplakt met Pion Design papier en een lief plaatje van internet, deze heb ik geleend van Sonja. De randjes heb ik nog een beetje doorgeschuurd voor een shabby effect. Alle materialen komen trouwens van Your Zoap.

And last but nog least I painted those Christmas bells, sticked on the insides with Pion Design paper and a cute picture from the internet, I borrowed these from Sonja. I sanded the edges for a shabby look. All materials, btw, are available at Your Zoap.

Long time no see!

Ik bevond me in een enorm dilemma afgelopen weken....
Het was zo druk met van alles en nog wat....
Wat was nu de juiste keuze....
Doorbloggen en geen bezoekjes brengen aan andere blogs....
Of stoppen met bloggen omdat ik mij daar zo schuldig over voel....
M'n blog een tijdje sluiten totdat alles weer in een iets rustiger vaarwater terecht is gekomen....
Maar vandaag schoot het me zomaar in m'n hoofd....
Ik blijf gewoon lekker bloggen en doe wat ik kan!
Dus ik hoop dat jullie het me niet kwalijk nemen dat ik op het moment geen frequente bezoekster ben of regelmatig berichtjes achterlaat, maar ik vind al jullie blogs zo geweldig, ik kan m'n plekje in blogland gewoon niet missen!
I was in a huge dilemma the past few weeks.....
Things were very busy round here....
What was the right choice.....
Blog and not pay visits in return.....
Or stop blogging because I felt so quilty about that.....
Close my blog for a while waiting for more quiet times.....
But today the answer popped into my head....
I'll keep on blogging and try to visit everybody as much as possible!
So I hope you don't mind I'm not a reagular commentor or visitor, but I love all your blogs so much and can't live without my little space in blogland!





Deze week heb ik m'n Creative-Team-projekten voor Your Zoap afgemaakt
I finished my Creative-Team-work for Your Zoap this week

Ik heb van dit houten bord een notesbook-hanger gemaakt

I made this wooden billboard and turned it into a notesbook-hanger

Al het papier is (wéér!) van Tilda, de rest van de embellies komen ook bij Your Zoap vandaan

All the papers are from Tilda (again!), the rest of the embellies are also from Your Zoap

Ik heb sjablonen gebruikt om de letters te maken

I used templates for making the font

En knipte al de bloemen en schattige meisjes uit de diecut vellen

And cutted all the flowers and cute girls out of the diecut papers

Dit hart is ook een onderdeel voor het design werk van deze maand

This heart is also a part of this month's design work

Ik heb allemaal dezelfde spulletjes gebruikt als bij de notesbook-hanger

Ik ben nog steeds helemaal verliefd op dit fantastische papier!

I'm still in love with these gorgeous papers!

Maar ik heb ook nog een ander (eenvoudiger!) klusje afgemaakt

But I finished another (more simple!) job

Ik kocht het borduurwerkje bij de kringloop een tijdje terug voor slechts 0,75 cent

I bought the embroidery at the thriftshop a while ago for just 0,75 cents

Ik kocht de kussenhoes voor een paar euro bij de HEMA (alleen al een rits is duurder!). voegde er een stukje stippenstof aan toe en een stukje band et voilá!

I bought the cushion cover at the HEMA for a few euro's ( only buying a zipper would be more expensive!), added a little piece of polkadotted fabric, a piece of ribbon et voilá!

M'n dochtertje vindt 'em geweldig!

My little girls loves it!

Nou ja, ik ben haar moeder en vind haar natuurlijk schattig (*grijns*)!

Knock knock, who's there!

Met rode wangen van het zonnetje en totaal gevloerd na een dagje hard werken in de tuin zit ik hier nu m'n blogje te schrijven. Moe maar zéér voldaan! Het was een drukke week, ik was niet veel thuis en als ik thuis was, dan was er een hoop werk te doen, in huis, maar ook in de tuin. Bovendien liep ik ook deze week nog de collecte voor de hartstichting. Een zeer sociale aangelegenheid mag ik wel zeggen!

Een praatje met iedereen aan de deur en zo krijg je natuurlijk veel halletjes te zien! Dit is de mijne:

With red cheeks from the sunshine and totally knocked down from a day of hard labour in the garden, I'm writing this blog. Tired but very satisfied! It has been a very busy week, I wasn't home a lot, and when I was home, I had a lot of work to do, inside, but also in the garden. And besides I did the collection for the heart-foundation. A very social affair I must say! A little chat with everybody at the frontdoor and a look at lots of entrances! This is mine:

Welkom in huize van Trappen! Dit is wel bij de achterdeur, de voordeur gebruiken we eigenlijk nooit.

Welcome to the van Trappen residence! Btw, this is at the backdoor, we hardly use our frontdoor.

Kleine verzamelingen maken hier eenvoudige stillevens. Oude blikjes,

Elk plekje wordt benut

Vogelkooitjes en oud kinder speelgoed.

And sweet vintage children's clothes.

En dit zie je als je naar de achterdeur kijkt. Achter de deur met het geruite gordijn bevindt zich de verwarmingsketel, de deur ernaast verschaft je toegang tot de badkamer.
And this is what you see looking at the backdoor. Behind the door with the checked curtain is our heating unit, the door next to it gains access to the bathroom.

Het schattige oude kant met eendjes vond ik een tijdje geleden bij de kringloop (zoals het meeste van mijn verzamelde spulletjes).

En dit kom je tegen als je trap opgaat.

Dit lieve popje Pip heb ik laatst gemaakt.

This cute little doll Pip I've made recently.

Net als het popje-in-het-hartje.
Just like the doll-in-a-heart.

Het popje Pip is een patroontje van atelier Eusjewel, gekocht op de handwerkbeurs in Zwolle. Op het moment ben ik nog bezig met het breien van een lief klein vestje voor deze dame.
The doll Pip is a pattern from studio Eusjewel, I bought at the needlework fair in Zwolle. At the moment I'm knitting her a little white cardigan.

En hier dan toch nog een sneakje van de tuin. De meeste potten zijn weer gevuld, ook al zijn de ijsheiligen nog lang niet geweest. Maar met dit mooie weer krijg je gewoon de kriebels! Al met al een hoop werk verzet, niet alleen lichamelijk maar ook m'n hoofd draait overuren. Plannen maken, kijken wat we dit jaar allemaal gaan doen, en hoe we het gaan doen. Eindelijk zijn m'n tuinkriebels weer terug, na jarenlange afwezigheid! Op naar een lange, warme zomer!

Okay, a little sneak of the garden! Most pots are filled, although the ice saints haven't been here already. But with this lovely weather my fingers are itching! All in all, I did a lot of work, not only physical, but my brains are working overtime too. Making plans, what are we going to do and how are we going to do the things we want to do. Finally my garden-itches are back, after years of absence! I hope we'll have a long and warm summer!
