Kleine kadootjes voor m'n kindertjes. Een mokje en een kommetje vol met lekkere hartjessnoepjes- en spekjes.
Little presents for my kids. A mug and a little bowl filled with heartshaped candy.

Nog gemaakt op de valreep, deze schattige hartjes. Hiervoor heb ik de houten hartjes en het papier van Tilda gebruikt.
Made in the nick of time, these cute little hearts. I used the wooden hearts and the papers from Tilda.

The Much-more-Part

Dit kwam vorige week met de postbode mee: een oude Libelle uit 1953 en een oud kinderboekje, zomaar gekregen van Hannie! Lief hè!

This brought the mailman last week: an old Libelle ( Dutch women's magazine) from 1953 and this vintage children's book, I got it from Hannie, just like that! Sweet hûh!

Poeh, ik ben blij dat deze tailles niet meer in de mode zijn! Maar wel geweldig om te zien!
Poeh, I'm glad these waists aren't fashionable anymore! But great to look at!

Dit fantastische blik gebruik ik nu om alle theezakjes in te gooien. Misschien niet helemaal praktisch, maar wel leuk en makkelijk!

This gorgeous tin I use to throw all the tea bags in. Maybe not so practical, but very nice and easy!

En de "Much-More-Post" gaat maar door! Ik kreeg namelijk ook nog deze prachtige award van Kind an Huys! Anne, ontzettend bedankt! Ik heb 2 posten terug al allerlei (eigen)aardigheidjes over mezelf verteld en ik geloof niet dat ik er nog meer weet te bedenken (m'n mannetje vast wel, maar aan hem vraag ik het maar niet, hahaha!).
And the "Much-More-Post" continues! I got namely this beautiful award from Kind an Huys!
Anne, thank you so much! 2 Posts ago I already told a few things about myself and I don't know what to tell you anymore (my hubby probably does, but I don't wanna ask him, hahaha!).

Nou meiden, dit was het voor vandaag! Ik heb weer een leuk werkje op m'n pennen staan. De eerste aanzet tot m'n zoete lente-huis! Wordt vervolgd!

The Homedecoration-part



Afgelopen zondag naar de Spring Fair in Julianadorp geweest. Het was prachtig weer (dat hadden we de zaterdag daarvoor niet kunnen denken!), dus dat maakte de dag, samen natuurlijk met de enorme hoeveelheid gezellige kramen perfect. Alhoewel ik eigenlijk van plan was niets te kopen, liep ik tegen deze geweldige koopjes aan. Tja.... dat laat je dan toch niet staan????
Last Sunday I've been to the Spring Fair in Julianadorp ( a little village nearby). It was beautiful weather (who could have guessed that after the greyish Saturday!), so that made it a perfect day, that and all the great booths. Although I had the intention not to buy a thing, I bumped into these great bargains. Well.... it was impossible to resist don't you think????

... en deze leuke oude koffer ook maar voor 5,--! Nou zeg nou zelf, dat moet dan toch mee????
... and this pretty old suitcase also for just 5,--! Well, you've to admit, I had to buy these!!!!

Ook de meiden van de Knutselfair waren present, en al heb ik nog zoveel pakketjes liggen, dit haasje is toch een schatje???? En volgens de meiden zo gemaakt, kijk, daar hou ik van!
The girls of the Knutselfair were also here, and I know I've still many kits in da house, but his little bunny is sóóó darn cute don't you think???? And the girls said it was easy to make, well, that's how I like it!

En hier word ik nou zo blij van hè! Een echte Cath Kidston in mijn keuken! Haar catalogus heb ik zo ongeveer stuk gelezen, en me telkens verlekkerd aan haar prachtige stoffen en woonaccessoires. Helaas is laten verzenden nogal een prijzige aangelegenheid en in Nederland is zover ik weet ook niet heel veel te krijgen. Dus ik was aangenaam verrast toen ik een kraampje tegen kwam met een (bescheiden) collectie van CK.
And look, this makes me happy! A real Cath Kidston in my kitchen! I read her catalogue over and over again, and drooled over the beautiful fabrics and gorgeous homedecorations. It's a pity the costs for shipping are so high and here in the Netherlands I didn't know a store that sells her stuff. So I was very pleased when I discovered a booth with a (modest) collection of CK.

Maar het was niet het eerst wat ik had van CK! Kijk maar eens naar deze kaart!
But it was not my first CK-thing! Look at this card!

Die zat afgelopen zaterdag in dit pakketje! De verpakking laat al duidelijk de handtekening van de afzender zien!
It was in this package last Saturday! The wrapping shows you the signature of the sender al ready!

Het was m'n gewonnen prijs van Happy loves Rosie! Wat snel binnen hè! Owwww.... ik kon niet wachten om het uit te pakken! Deze kaart is al een kadootje op zich, net als de kaart die zij zelfgemaakt heeft, het schattige geborduurde zakdoekje en , héél leuk, een plattegrond van waar zij woont! Ik zou dolgraag eens in haar huis willen kijken, dat lijkt me echt fantastisch! En dan natuurlijk ook nog even shoppen bij CK! Hmmm schat... volgende keer maar eens niet naar de Ardennen????
It was the give away I won at Happy loves Rosie! What a quick sending hey! Owwww.... I couldn't wait to open it! This card was a present itself, just like the card she made herself, the beautiful embroidered handkerchief and, very nice, the map of where she's living! I would love to see her house in real life, it would be absolutly great! And after the visit shopping at CK of course! Ummm darling ... next time on holiday to England instead of the Ardennes????

En kijk dan toch: wat een onwijs gave tas! Dat maakt shoppen tot een waar feest!

En de knoopjesketting is ook echt super leuk! Mijn weekend kon weer niet stuk! Lieve Happy, ik ben er helemaal gelukkig mee!
And look: what a gorgeous bag! That makes shopping really fun! And the button necklace is also very cute! This made my weekend! Dear Happy, you made me happy! Love all the sweet gifts!

En ook nog wat leuke spulletjes gescoord bij de kringloop, slechts 5,-- voor de hele koop. Een pyrex schaal, een gezellig pot met appeltjes erop voor de hagelslag, 2 kop en schotels met roosjes en een super foute bloempot ook met rozen er op. Eens kijken of ik daar een rode begonia of rode geranium voor kan vinden! Tja als je fout gaat, dan gelijk maar goed fout, haha!!!!
And I also found some cute things at the thriftstore, only 5,-- for the whole loot. A pyrex bowl, a lovely glass jar decorated with apples for the chocolate sprinkles, 2 cup and saucers with roses on them and a very, very wrong flowerpot also decorated with roses. Let's see if I can find a red Begonia or Pelargonium to put in it! Well, if I'm going wrong, I'm going very wrong, lol!

But this set really made me happy! 3 Handled jugs of red enamel!

Met wat passen en meten, kon het er nog precies bij!
After some inching and pinching it fitted perfectly!

The scrap-part

Een Valentijnshanger, gemaakt op een ondergrond van karton van een oude doos.

Home is where the heart is:

Een lay out waarbij ik gebruik heb gemaakt van allerlei restjes papier en zelf wat embellishments gemaakt heb van o.a. vilt.
For this lay out I used all kinds of pp-scraps and made some embellishments myself, e.g. of felt.

Longing for Spring:

Een romantische lay out, met stof, kant, een poezieplaatje en een stuk oud muziekpapier.
A romantic lay out, with fabric, lace, german picture (I hope that's the right translation!) and an old piece of musicsheet.

Winter Wonderland:

Deze winterse lay out is gemaakt met het prachtige papier van Crate. De bloemen zijn geknipt uit een dessinvel.

This wintery lay out is made with the beautiful Crate papers. The flowers are all cutted out from a patterned paper.

Sweet Moments:

Gewoon een lief boekje, gemaakt van stof en vilt, alles met de hand genaaid. Met zomaar wat leuke momenten uit het afgelopen jaar.

Just a sweet album, made of fabric and felt, all handsewn. With a few happy moments of last year just like that.

En zo laggen de mannen heerlijk in het zonnetje vorige week, helaas is die nu in geen velden of wegen meer te bekennen en neigt het zelfs naar regen op dit moment! Regelmatig krijg ik de vraag hoe het nu met ze gaat, en ik moet zeggen dat het al lijkt of het nooit anders is geweest. Het zijn zulke lieverds! Alleen naar andere honden toe zijn ze onwijs fel, maar dat hopen we er toch nog eens een beetje uit te krijgen. Verder moeten ze leren wie er de baas is (ahum!), en ook dat zal nog wat tijd gaan vergen, want ik heb het idee dat ze bij de vorige eigenaar eigenlijk wel een hele hoop mochten. Maar we zijn echt vol goede moed en we maken telkens kleine vorderingen!

And here are the guys, sunbathing last week. It's a pity the sun has disappeared now, it even looks like it's gonna rain. Frequently there are some people who are asking how they're doing. Well, they're doing very fine. It's like they've always been here. They are so sweet! Only towards other dogs they are very snappy. Hopefully this will be better within a few months. Further on they've to learn who's the boss (ahum!), I think the former owner allowed too much. But we are full of good cheer and we are entering into progress, little by little!

Waarschijnlijk zal het weer even duren eer ik weer wat zal posten, want ik zit op het moment weer midden in de scrapdrukte voor het magazine (jaja, wéér te laat begonnen!). Dus als jullie even niets van me horen, dan weten jullie waardoor dat komt!

Ik wens jullie in ieder geval hele fijne paasdagen en tot de volgende keer!

It will take some time before I'll post again probably, cause I'm in the middle of all kinds of scrapprojects for the next issue of the Scrapbookmagazine( yeh, yeh, and again I started too late!). So if you don't hear anything of me the coming few weeks, you know what's the reason!
