C-Y-W #4: I want to look inside your head

Het is weer op het nippertje, maar ik heb 'em af, de 4e challenge van Color-Your-World!

De opdracht van deze keer: gebruik de kleuren oranje en bruin.

Dit is niet helemaal mijn kleurencombi, maar daarom juist een uitdaging!

Verder ben ik de laatste dagen wat afwezig geweest in bloggersland, maar het was nogal hectisch om alles weer op tijd af te krijgen voor het Scrapbook-Magazine. Maar het is weer gelukt (denk ik!). Als het goed is, komt het magazine rond half december weer uit.

I must say, not so much my cup of tea, but hey, that's the challenge!

I've been a little absent in bloggersland the last few days, but that was because of the stuff I had to make voor the Scrapbook-Magazine, so I was very busy. But it's all finished now (well, I 've one l.o. to make), I hope they like it!

Ik was te laat voor de 3e challenge van C-Y-W, maar ik vond deze kleurencombi zo geweldig, dat ik 'em alsnog gemaakt heb. De opdracht was deze keer: gebruik de kleuren rose en groen.

I was to late for the third challenge of C-Y-W, but I love the colors for this assignment so I made this l.o. anyway! This time the challenge was: use the colors pink and green.

De derde opdracht voor de Elsie-challenge was: costumise a ribbon border. En ook hier heb ik weer oude foto's van mezelf gebruikt, zoals jullie waarschijnlijk wel al hadden begrepen was dit m'n eerste kerst!

Nou daar komt ie dan! Let's go!

#1 Ik kan niet slapen zonder eerst gedouched te hebben, natuurlijk om lekker schoon m'n bedje in te rollen maar vooral omdat ik dan zulke koude voeten krijg, dat ik niet meer kan slapen. Ik ben er weleens om 3 uur 's nachts uit gegaan om te douchen omdat ik zulke koude voeten had.

#1 I can't sleep without taking a shower first. First of all because it's feeling nice and clean, but also because (and that's the mean-reason!) otherwise I get such cold feet! Once I went out of bed at 3 o'clock in the morning to take a shower, because my feet were sóóó cold!

#2 Ik ben verslaafd aan chocolade en dan vooral Bon bon block en M en M's. En dan niet een paar hapjes, nee de hele reep of zak gaat in 1x leeg (schaam!). Ohhh, mmmm... zo lekker!!!!

#2 I'm addicted to chocolate and especially to Bon bon block and M and M's. And I can't take one bite, oh no, the whole bar or bag goes empty in one time ( I'm ashamed!). Ohhh, yummie... it tastes sóóó good!

#3 Zoals jullie wellicht inmiddels weten ben ik gek op rose, van pyama tot bloemen in huis en tandenborstel tot servies, wat je maar verzinnen kunt, ik ben d'r gek op! Deze kleur maakt me blij!

#3 As you probably already know, I'm fond of the color pink, if it's my pyama or the flowers in my house, my toothbrush, or my breakfastplate, whatever you can imagine, I love it! This color makes me happy!

#4 Ik heb altijd wel iets te schilderen, kasten, muren, maakt niet uit, telkens is er weer iets aan de beurt voor een kleine (of grote) metamorfose. Niets is veilig voor m'n kwast! Zo heeft de kast in de keuken in een kleine 4 jaar tijd 3 kleuren gehad, maar voorlopig laat ik het zo, wat een rotklus was dat! Ben nu bezig met de computerkast.

#4 I'm always painting something, cupboards, walls, it doesn't matter what, I paint everything!
The cupboard in the kitchen has already had 3 different colors in 4 years. But that was a terrible job, so now I'm doing the p.c.-cupboard (also terrible, but it's going to be so beautiful!)

#5 Ik wil zo graag héél geordend zijn, maar dit lukt me nooit! Ik begin altijd vol goede moed op te ruimen en te ordenen, maar ik lijk het wel nooit vol te kunnen houden, da's zo frustrerend!

#5 I want to be very organized, but somehow it doesn't succeed at me. I always start fresh and happy re-organizing, but it seems I can't keep it going that way, it's so frustrating!

#6 Als ik een tijdje niet zoveel praat, vraagt mijn man gelijk of ik ziek ben (huhhhh...???)

#6 When I'm silent for a while, my hubby immediately asks me if I'm sick (huhhh....???)

#7 Ook nog een beetje serieus: ik heb een prachtig gezin, een lief huisje dat helemaal bij me past, een geweldige hobby, en daar ben ik reuze dankbaar voor!

#7 And also a little serious note: I've a beautiful family, a cosy home that suits me very well, a great hobby, and for all this I'm very greatfull!

Color-your-world #2 : Love between mother and daughter sealed with a kiss

De 2e challenge van CYW: gebruik alleen rood en blauw (en zwart en wit als niet-kleuren) op je l.o.

Ook dit was weer een gave uitdaging. En ik vond het geweldig om te doen!

And this was also a great challenge, I loved making this l.o.

1e challenge color-your-world

Yep, ik heb het gedaan! Voor de eerste keer meegedaan aan een challenge op het internet! Oké, ik weet het, het klinkt zo simpel, maar voor mij is het een grote stap om zoiets te doen, ik durf dat eigenlijk helemaal niet! Ik wilde zelfs alweer terugkrabbelen toen ik zag wat voor kunstwerkjes er al gemaakt waren, maar dat vond ik eigenlijk wel een beetje kinderachtig van mezelf. En goed, het mag dan geen "kunst" zijn, maar het is een l.o. waar ik met heel veel plezier aangewerkt heb en die toch een aantal emoties bij me oproept.

Dit is n.l. onze middelste, en toen hij nog klein was hebben we zo geworsteld met de vraag of we het allemaal wel goed deden. Hij was erg ondernemend en ondeugend en hij luisterde nauwelijks. Er waren dagen bij dat ik het gevoel had dat ik de hele dag boos op hem geweest was, en dan had ik 's avonds zo'n schuldgevoel, want hij was aan de andere kant ook zo verschrikkelijk lief!
Gelukkig ligt dit nu achter ons en groeit hij op tot een lieve, behulpzame knul (die nog steeds ondeugend en ondernemend is!) en ben ik zó trots op hem!



Yep, I did it! For the first time of my life I take part in a challenge on the internet! For most people a piece of cake, but for me it's a real big step, because I don't dare such things at all!
And when I saw the beautiful pieces of art that were already made by other people I didn't want to take part at all! But I tought that was a little bit childisch, so here I am! It's about the challenge, and so it's for me!
Oké my l.o. is not such a piece of art, but I liked to make it and it has some emotional values for me.

It's my second boy and when he was little, we struggled a lot! He was very naughty and hardly didn't listen. Sometimes I tought I was angry on him all day long and at night I felt só guilty about that, because he was also such a sweet little boy.
Now a days this all lays behind us, altough he's still naughty! But he's growing up to a sweet and caring person and I'm so proud of him!
