Frustrations

Yep, frustraties! En waarom? Omdat ik met zoveel dingen tegelijk bezig ben, er nog niets af is, en datgene dat wel af is kan ik nog niet laten zien! Grrrr...!!!
Yep, frustrations! And why? Because I'm busy with so many things at the same time, there's nothing finished and the only thing that is ready, I can't show you! Grrr...!!!
Ik ben begonnen met de eerste beestjes uit m'n Amigurumi-boekje, dit konijntje lijkt nu wel rechtstreeks van Mars te komen!
I started to make the first little animals from my Amigurumi-boekje, this rabbit looks like an alien straight from Mars right now!

En deze beertjes uit hetzelfde boekje zijn ook nog niet af, volgens mij zijn de oogjes toch wat te groot, dus die moeten ook weer in de revisie!

And these little bears from the same book aren't finished either, I think their eyes are a little bit to big!

Maar ook dit kastje is nog lang niet af, van de 5 popjes heb ik er slechts eentje opnieuw aangekleed!
And this cabinet isn't finished either, I only dressed one doll, still 4 left!

En dit is dan het enige dat af is en dat kan ik niet laten zien! Hoe bedoel je frustrerend! Ik doe bij Picasa mee met een Valentijnsswap, dus wat het resultaat geworden is kan ik pas na de 14e laten zien.

And this the only finished project, but I can't show you, because it's for a Valentines-swap. I will show you the things I made after 14 februari!

Maar goed, ik wil niet dat jullie nu allemaal gefrustreerd achterblijven, daarom toch nog iets dat én af is én dat ik jullie kan laten zien:

Weer foto's uit de oude doos van m'n kindertijd. Ik heb papier van Elsie en MM gebruikt, bloemen geknipt uit een vel van Scenic Route, vilt van Fancy Pants, sneeuwsterretjes van Zeeman die ik wat nonchelant crème geverfd heb. De letters zijn allemaal restjes geverfd in bijpassende kleuren

Again pictures from my childhood. I used patterned papers from Elsie and MM, cut flowers out of a Scenic Route paper, felt from Fancy Pants, snowflakes from Zeeman (a low-budget store here in the Netherlands) I painted crème in a nonchalant way. The characters are all leftovers I painted in matching colors.

It's all about creating!

Vandaag leek het wel een klein beetje lente. Er scheen een heerlijk zonnetje, jammer dat de wind het nog zo koud maakte (maar ja, wat wil je in januari???). Voor een klein beetje lente-gevoel in huis, heb ik deze kan gevuld met een flinke bos tulpen.
Today it felt a little bit like spring. There was a little sunshine, altough the wind was chilly (well, it's januari!). I put a big bouquet of tulips in this jug for a sweet "spring"-feeling.

En kijk eens wat ik binnen heb gekregen: mijn Tilda-boek! Meiden, dit is echt genieten. Ik heb het gevoel dat dit boek speciaal voor mij gemaakt is! Ik stroom over van de ideetjes en inspiratie! Bovendien had ik er ook deze stofjes bij besteld, dus ik kan aan de slag! Dus als jullie me zoeken volgende week, dan weten jullie wat ik aan het doen ben!
Look what I've received: this beautiful Tilda-book! I love it, I love it, I love it!!!! Girls, this is so great, I think this book is written especially for me! I've lots of ideas and inspiration, I can't wait to create all these lovely things! These beautiful fabrics also came along with the book. If your looking for me next week, you probably know what I'm doing!

Nieuwe projekt: een houten kastje dat ik wil oppimpen om daarin deze oude rubberen popjes uit m'n eigen poppenhuis van vroeger uit te stallen. Ook wil ik deze popjes weer opnieuw aankleden, want hun kleertjes hebben de tand des tijds niet geheel doorstaan!
My upcoming projekt: I want to pimp this wooden cabinet and display my old dollhouse-dolls in it. I also want to dress these little dolls a little bit more proper.
En ook nog binnen gekregen deze week: een heerlijke lading stofjes bij Magdaleentje vandaan.

Van de week op de dutch-freestyle-groep hadden we weer een col. Ik heb deze opnieuw gecombineerd met de Elsie-challenge. Elsie-challenge#5 luidde: embellish a flower.
Ik heb een foto gebruikt van m'n eerste sinterklaasfeest ooit!
This week we had a col on the dutch-freestyle-group. I combined it with Elsie-challenge #5: embellish a flower. And, of course, I used an old picture of me again, celebrating my first sinterklaas-party ever!




Van de week ook "zomaar" gescrapt, geen challenge, geen werk, maar gewoon lekker restjes opgemaakt! Deze foto's lagen al een paar jaar te wachten, maar op de één of andere manier was het er niet van gekomen.
This week I made this l.o., without a reason, no challenge, no design-work, just scrappin'and using my old stuff. I had these pictures for years and now I finally used them.

Girls, I'm back!

Eindelijk weer eens wat nieuws van het scrapfront! Het heeft even geduurd maar ik ben uit m'n scrappersdipje gekropen en heb er weer zin in! Woensdagochtend bedacht ik me dat het wel leuk zou zijn om (voor het eerst van m'n leven!) m'n eigen kerstkaartjes te maken. Het moest simpel, want het moest natuurlijk nog wel diezelfde middag af komen. Spulletjes in huis gehaald en aan de gang gegaan. Oké, de kaartenmaaksters onder ons zullen nu wel met kromme tenen zitten, want zo mooi als jullie ze maken, dat zal ik wel nooit redden, maar ik vond het enig om te doen, dus wie weet....!
Finally I've lost my scrappers-depression! I even made my own christmas-cards! Okay, they're simple, but I enjoyed making them ánd I had to finish them that same afternoon. And well, who knows what's gonna happen in the future....!

Heerlijk leesvoer voor deze week, de Memory Makers en natuurlijk m'n lijfblad, het SBM! Wat hebben de meiden weer onwijs hun best gedaan, er staan echt superleuke dingen in. Heb je 'em nog niet in huis, rennen naar de boekhandel zou ik zeggen! Enne... zien jullie dat kleine doosje onderaan in het rechterhoekje? Kijk, dat is van mij! Ben er stiekum héél erg trots op hoor!

Lovely magazines for this week: the Memory Makers and of course my favorite of all, the SBM! All the girls have done their very best to make it a very beautiful edition. So, if you don't have it already, run to your nearest bookstore and buy it! And.... have you seen that little box, in the right corner? Look, that's mine! And secretly I'm very proud of it! En dit is 'em dan, mijn box of little things!

And this is it, my box of little things!

En van binnen allemaal lieve kleine kadootjes voor de kerst. De meeste heb ik zelf gemaakt.
And on the inside lovely little christmas-presents. Most of them I made myself.

En dit was een hele klus, maar erg leuk om te doen: de kerstmis-planner. Met ruimte voor allerlei tips, recepten, nou ja eigenlijk alles waar je met kerst aan moet denken!

It was a tough but fun job: making this christmas-planner. With space for recipes, tips and well, everything you may not forget these days!

En ook deze l.o.'s zijn gepubliceerd. Kleuren die me blij maken, overpeinzingen aan het eind van het jaar en m'n kleine meid die vol verwachting opkijkt naar Sinterklaas.
And these l.o.'s are published. Colors that make me happy, thinking of 2008 and my little girl, watching Sinterklaas, full of expectations.

En dit was de l.o. waardoor m'n scrapmood weer terug kwam! Op een emailgroep waar ik lid van ben werd een col (=croppen-on-line) georganiseerd en ik besloot me ervoor op te geven, het was een mooie stok achter de deur om m'n spulletjes weer eens op te pakken. Ik heb het gelijk maar gecombineerd met de Elsie-challenge, waar ik dus ook al hopeloos mee op achterloop! Ook hier weer oude foto's van mezelf voor gebruikt, het is m'n eerste verjaardag. De 4e challenge luidde: make your own chipboard element, de l.o. is gemaakt n.a.v. een voorbeeld l.o. (je kon kiezen uit 2 l.o.'s). En dat papier van MM is zóóó geweldig! Heerlijk om mee te werken!

And this l.o. made me pick up my scrapstuff again! I made it at a col with some girls of an emailgroup I'm participating. It was very nice to scrap together. I combined it with Elsie-challenge 4: make your own chipboard-element. Again I used old pictures of myself, my first birthday. The l.o. is made after an exemple you could choose (there were 2 of them). And that paper of MM is sóóó yummie! Loved using it!

Dus meiden, ik ben er weer, en ik heb er zin in! Heel fijn weekend allemaal!

Ik was te laat voor de 3e challenge van C-Y-W, maar ik vond deze kleurencombi zo geweldig, dat ik 'em alsnog gemaakt heb. De opdracht was deze keer: gebruik de kleuren rose en groen.

I was to late for the third challenge of C-Y-W, but I love the colors for this assignment so I made this l.o. anyway! This time the challenge was: use the colors pink and green.

Nou daar komt ie dan! Let's go!

#1 Ik kan niet slapen zonder eerst gedouched te hebben, natuurlijk om lekker schoon m'n bedje in te rollen maar vooral omdat ik dan zulke koude voeten krijg, dat ik niet meer kan slapen. Ik ben er weleens om 3 uur 's nachts uit gegaan om te douchen omdat ik zulke koude voeten had.

#1 I can't sleep without taking a shower first. First of all because it's feeling nice and clean, but also because (and that's the mean-reason!) otherwise I get such cold feet! Once I went out of bed at 3 o'clock in the morning to take a shower, because my feet were sóóó cold!

#2 Ik ben verslaafd aan chocolade en dan vooral Bon bon block en M en M's. En dan niet een paar hapjes, nee de hele reep of zak gaat in 1x leeg (schaam!). Ohhh, mmmm... zo lekker!!!!

#2 I'm addicted to chocolate and especially to Bon bon block and M and M's. And I can't take one bite, oh no, the whole bar or bag goes empty in one time ( I'm ashamed!). Ohhh, yummie... it tastes sóóó good!

#3 Zoals jullie wellicht inmiddels weten ben ik gek op rose, van pyama tot bloemen in huis en tandenborstel tot servies, wat je maar verzinnen kunt, ik ben d'r gek op! Deze kleur maakt me blij!

#3 As you probably already know, I'm fond of the color pink, if it's my pyama or the flowers in my house, my toothbrush, or my breakfastplate, whatever you can imagine, I love it! This color makes me happy!

#4 Ik heb altijd wel iets te schilderen, kasten, muren, maakt niet uit, telkens is er weer iets aan de beurt voor een kleine (of grote) metamorfose. Niets is veilig voor m'n kwast! Zo heeft de kast in de keuken in een kleine 4 jaar tijd 3 kleuren gehad, maar voorlopig laat ik het zo, wat een rotklus was dat! Ben nu bezig met de computerkast.

#4 I'm always painting something, cupboards, walls, it doesn't matter what, I paint everything!
The cupboard in the kitchen has already had 3 different colors in 4 years. But that was a terrible job, so now I'm doing the p.c.-cupboard (also terrible, but it's going to be so beautiful!)

#5 Ik wil zo graag héél geordend zijn, maar dit lukt me nooit! Ik begin altijd vol goede moed op te ruimen en te ordenen, maar ik lijk het wel nooit vol te kunnen houden, da's zo frustrerend!

#5 I want to be very organized, but somehow it doesn't succeed at me. I always start fresh and happy re-organizing, but it seems I can't keep it going that way, it's so frustrating!

#6 Als ik een tijdje niet zoveel praat, vraagt mijn man gelijk of ik ziek ben (huhhhh...???)

#6 When I'm silent for a while, my hubby immediately asks me if I'm sick (huhhh....???)

#7 Ook nog een beetje serieus: ik heb een prachtig gezin, een lief huisje dat helemaal bij me past, een geweldige hobby, en daar ben ik reuze dankbaar voor!

#7 And also a little serious note: I've a beautiful family, a cosy home that suits me very well, a great hobby, and for all this I'm very greatfull!

En dit is 'em dan geworden. Het leek me leuk om voor deze 52 challenges allemaal oude foto's van mezelf te gebruiken, zodat het een soort levensloop wordt.
